BYD was founded in February 1995 and is headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. Its industries cover four major fields: electronics, automobiles, new energy, and rail transit. As BYD continues to expand into overseas markets, in the first half of 2024, BYD's sales of new energy passenger vehicles reached 1.607 million units, a year-on-year increase of 28.8%, making it a leading global new energy vehicle company. Among them, overseas sales exceeded 203000 units, a year-on-year increase of 173.8%. On July 4, 2024, BYD held a ceremony at its Thai factory and the production of its 8 millionth new energy vehicle in Rayong Province, Thailand. As of July 2024, BYD's new energy vehicles have spread to 88 countries and regions worldwide, with over 400 cities. Apart from Thailand, BYD has passenger car production bases in countries such as Brazil, Hungary, and Uzbekistan. On September 1st, major car companies announced their August performance report, with BYD's new energy vehicle sales reaching 373100 units, a year-on-year increase of 35.97% and a month on month increase of 8.97%, setting a new monthly sales record. On September 5th, BYD announced that its high-end brand, Wangwang Automobile, delivered 310 vehicles in August. So far, the cumulative sales of the brand have reached 8250 units. On September 14th, Shenzhen Tengshi New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. underwent a business change, and Tengshi Automobile became a wholly-owned subsidiary of BYD. Make sure pedal is firm: Hold firm pressure on pedal for several minutes, it should remain in position without sinking. If pedal sinks toward floor, check system for fluid leaks. DO NOT drive vehicle if pedal does not stay firm or can be pushed to the floor with normal pressure.
At very low speed (2-5 mph) apply brakes hard several times while turning steering from full left to full right, repeat several times. Remove the wheels and check that components are not touching, rubbing, or leaking.
Carefully examine all brake components, brake lines, and fittings for leaks and interference.
Make sure there is no interference with wheels or suspension components.
Drive vehicle at low speed (15-20 mph) making moderate and hard stops. Brakes should feel normal and positive. Again check for leaks and interference.
Always test vehicle in a safe place where there is no danger to (or from) other people or vehicles.
